Yikes... sorry for the late reply. No, the issues remained even after the wipe. My phone's been FB-free for weeks. Sucks. I have no clue what the problem is.

Just thought you guys might like to know... I installed the latest version of Facebook (1.7.0.22) and it doesn't appear to have any of the symptoms 0.18 had on my phone. I installed it and unchecked the box to link to my contacts. Ran it, refreshed friends a few times, restarted a couple times... all good. Went back and checked that contacts connection box... repeated. Still good.

Caller ID's are coming in fine.
No "content protection" issues on the contacts info.
CAN view/edit contacts.

I was hesitating going through all this to test it, since I'm getting the new 9700 in a few days, but the office is kind of slow today so why not? So far, so good!

Again... just an update FYI. =D

Hate to drag up an old problem, but here goes: many of the contacts in my address book could not be opened or edited. I disabled content protection, which resolved that issue. However, when you open a contact profile, all the email addresses are hidden by the <content protection is enabled> message. Like the others noticed, this is only for contacts who are also Facebook contacts. I deleted the FB app entirely, and have not reinstalled it.

Also, when I open my Messages list and compose an email to any of those same contacts, the available email addresses are hidden with that same message.

Should I install FB 1.7.0.22? Something else? I want my FB contacts connected to the BlackBerry contacts, but not if it means I can't view them or email properly. Any ideas?
