Question BB tour

Please Login to Remove!
I just purchased a 2nd hand BB tour, it got a sprint logo, i am based here in UAE. Rather than showing my carrier logo, it shows '' Activation required". I am subscribed to a BIS plan from my local carrier and everything is working. How can i fix this? Thanks

From another user here, Callix:

Dial # # 000000 (Send).
In the Menu add your phone number and select save.
The device will reboot and activate.

I thought that was for the CDMA part only?

I believe that's just some general programming stuff to get your number into the BlackBerry. It should be recognized as a Sprint number, a T-Mobile number, etc.
