It doesnt matter if you have a contract, you need a Blackberry Data Plan.

Fonejunkie - You do NOT need a blackberry plan. I simply pulled SIM card from previous non-blackberry phone and was off and running. Posted from my non blackberry plan 8820 with wifi (no data plan)

Why single me out? This subject comes up once or twice every week - people want the full service BlackBerry experience without the BIS or BES plan. The "* sigh *" comment was directed at the topic in general, and the total lack of effort by those that raise this issue over and over without even trying to search for the answers first. It just gets old.

I am glad that you got what you want, and that your BB experience is what you want it to be. More power to ya.
