Default Installing software, pictures, wallpaper, etc.

I have a few very newbie questions for everyone. And before everyone hates on me, I've spent some time with the search feature and just can't find what I'm looking for--that's why I'm posting this.

I just purchased a Nextel 7520 on eBay. I have the manual and CD that came with it but it doesn't say how to download software, pictures, wallpaper, etc. I have a data cable, just need to know what I'm missing and where to get it.

Also, I bought the Blackberry on eBay because I didn't need email capability. I just wanted the PDA features for work (I'm in Law Enforcement). However, I would like to get NOL (Nextel online) just to check the weather, get directions, check movie listings, etc. If I add that service to my account, will I be able to use it on the Blackberry? My last phone was the i60. I had NOL on that phone at one time, but it's been a while. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A simple search brought this:

Nextel service

If you do not have the quick users guide download it from the BB site.

Once you have the data plan what you want will be available to you.

KonTiki, I'm not sure I understand. How does Nextel know that I'm making phone calls from a Blackberry? I thought the information was on the SIM card so it didn't matter what phone you used.

By virtue of the type of phone it is (the identifying number that you use to register with them alone will tell them what it is, then I believe that there are certain functions the phone performs that tell them anyway), it simply lets them know no getting around it. With my Verizon account it was different I had the BB for almost two weeks without a data plan while I was learning and getting used to it and Verizon Knew I had a BB. When i was ready then and only then did I have to activate it, and if I had chosen not to they would have allowed me to continue that way, however Nextel is not like that.
