Default Bold getting hot?

Please Login to Remove!

Hiya, I have the BlackBerry Bold and it's been fine for the 2 or so months I've had it but the last few days I've noticed it is getting hot whilst charging and today it was just sitting in my desk and when I picked it up it was really really hot while it was just idol, the last charge was yesterday so I can't contribute it to that and I'd not used it proir for anything for a few hours, not even had missed calls or texts coming through!
Does anyone have any ideas why it might be doing this?

If the battery checks fine, then a check of the charge/power pins on the phone is next on the list.

I have a customer who also encountered such issue. User told me that she notice that its become very hot while its on her bag. The battery has been replaced with new one but the problem occured again. In next few days it will be fix up by support engineer to check what is the real cause of device overheat.

Tech support just restored the OS of the phone. I told them that, they had done that before and it doesn't fix the issue. I insisted that they replace the phone and they replaced it with a new one. Not sure what they did with the defective unit. Sorry for the late post.

It happens most of the time when the circuit board is short. You need to show it to the hardware technician ! It can also damage your Battery.
We have encountered such an issue with one of our user.
