Default Blackberry 8120 randomly adding numbers when calling certain contacts

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, so something really weird is happening. I got a new blackberry 8120 and whenever I call certain people through the address book, its adding 3 digits to the beginning of their number! Why would it be doing this?

Its not consistent, as in it doesn't do it to all my contacts, but it is consistent with the same people. I can dial the number manually and it will work fine, and if I look at the contact details the number is correct, but as soon as I hit "call" it dials the number as +861 then the phone number...

What could this be?

Press the green button to go to the phone dialed
Click the menu key, select Options / Smart Dialing.

Make sure the country code is set properly. The code for North America is +1

If you are in North America, set it to +1

OK, if you travel you WANT TO add the +1. It will work properly.
When you leave North America, it will know when to add the +1 so you can dial home.

If you put their numbers in properly (+44 778 123 1234) or whatever, then it will work fine. IT IS DESIGNED PROPERLY. Please - put the +1 in as the Country Code.
