hey guys

im a total noob with blackberry's so please forgive me if im wrong.

But im thinking of buying a Bold 9000 or a Curve 8900 ..

i DID want 3G But the bold is a little out of my price range ..
The Curve has edge if im correct And i don't like Browsing the web on Blackberrys OS .. So is it possible to share the Edge Connection through wifi (Kinda making a wifi hotspot) Too my ipod touch ..

And Another kinda stupid question .. Is the curve and the bold better than the iphone 3g ?

As for the "better" question, that is up to you. But by posting that on a BB forum, I can surmise the response.

You cannot use your BB as a WiFi hotspot and share a WiFi connection. You can tether it to your PC and use as a modem however.

I suggest you do some more research and go to your carrier and try one out. Most will let you use it for 2 to 4 weeks to see how you like it. And remember, to get full functionality and to be happy with the device, you will need a BB data plan.

Once you get your BB, please update your profile with the model and carrier. That helps us help you.

You may also want to check to make sure your area has 3G. Its advertised everywhere, but not all areas have it for all carriers. If you want to use wifi with an Apple product, get a wireless router. Technically, yes., a BB is a 'better' phone than an Iphone. The Iph9one only allows one application to run at a time, whereas with your BB you can have multiple apps running as background and simply switch between them. Still goes back to personal preference, though.
