Default BES / Address Book Wireless Sync Not Available?

Please Login to Remove!

Exchange / BES being accessed with a Tour on 5.0.0.230.

Address sync worked previously. Seemingly all of the sudden, addresses aren't syncing.

Address / Options / shows Wireless Sync "not available" for the account.

How to get this back up and running without bugging IT too much?

Can I delete the service book for wireless address sync - will the system automatically resend it?

Should I ask for a new activation key and then re-Enterprise Activate?

Other ideas?

Try deleting the SYNC service book and then immediately undeleting it.
That should force a slow sync process (mini activation) and might add the option back.

If it doesn't work, you need to ask your IT dept to send you new service books.

Could it be that the Storm OS 5 update somehow broke BES address sync throughout the system?

Problem described in this posting

Can a RIM problem affect my BES? The timing is uncanny but perhaps just coincidental?

Cool idea - thanks for the quick response. Seemed to generate network activity indicator on BB but no joy... My IT guy JUST showed up... Time to bug him (poor guy).

Resent books and even re-Enterprise Activated without luck :(

You always have to go through Enterprise Activation after an OS upgrade.

Did Enterprise Activation actually run and complete? You need to kick it off via USB or get your BES admin to supply you with a new activation password.
