Question Gmail syncing through USB?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello

I'd like to use the Gmail Sync utility to sync a BlackBerry with Thunderbird (Thunderbird + Lightning + Provider for Google Calendar + Zindus for Google Contacts.)

I guess Gmail Sync is Internet-based, meaning that I must first get a wifi connection, and then run the Gmail Sync utility.

Provided the above is correct, since I don't have wifi at home, and throughput is must slower than USB 2.0 anyway... I was wondering if there's a way to sync a BlackBerry with Gmail by connecting it to a PC through a USB port instead?

I know that in an ideal world, Thunderbird should be able to sync directly with BlackBerry through USB... but we don't live in an ideal world

Thank you.

Does Google Sync still delete past entries from Google and the BB?
