Default need bb help

Please Login to Remove!

I am pretty much what i like to call an "ignoramus" when it comes to my blackberry so I need a lot of help. My BB completely turned off in the middle of a phone call and would not turn back on. It kept flashing the LED Twice and that is all. Soft reset after soft reset and nothing happened. Finally decided just to reload the software and start over. Yes, I drank shortly there after. I pretty much just started over with a new BB. The welcome screen came on and everything. I reloaded all of the apps and what I could, set up my email but now I can't view alot of my emails, programs that I was using to open email attachments are no longer there but they are not anything that i loaded on there they just came set up. What am I doing wrong or not have set up?

Welcome to the forums

What apps did you load? What emails can you not view? What programs were you using to view attachments?

I have just normal apps loaded and it is any email with a picture. It just shows a box with the .jpg name. And the program that comes to mind is the one where I can view scanned documents from my email

If it has a picture, you need to hit the menu key and select "download attachments" I think it is. Don't have my BB in front of me to check.

They are not attachments. Just normal images on the email

If the images are linked to the internet (as opposed to embedded in the email), then you will have to manually retrieve them.

And they are not linked to the internet in any way?

What do you have set under the Email Settings under "Download Images Automatically"?

"None whatsoever" ???

Where are you seeing that setting?

The options are "Yes" and "No". Did you check the Email Settings menu?

I am just saying none whatsoever. They are not attached to the internet in any way. If I click "get images" from the menu key, sometimes they will open. Sometimes not. None of the attachments will open. It says,"file cannot be viewed with this device". When before it was no problem. They are not special attachments. Usually just pictures and powerpoint presentations.

Ok. For third (and last) time, I will ask.

WHAT IS SET IN YOUR EMAIL SETTINGS under "Download Images Automatically"???

And ATTACHMENTS are DIFFERENT from images embedded in the email message.

You will have to download attachments manually (typically). Are you dowwloading them? Images and PowerPoint presentations should be supported file types but other file types might not be.
