Hi.

Up until a few weeks ago, the GPS function on Google maps would pin point my position pretty well. Now, it gives it within 400m to 3300m radius. It also says "GPS signal unavailable" from many places. My GPS Nav works fine. And, my wife's Curve (also on Bell) works fine.

Anybody can help?

What version of OS do you have on your device. I think OS .57 fixed it for me.

Yea, gotta upgrade and it should fix the GPS issue. Check the sticky thread at the top of the 9600 forum for the latest OS.

Quick question: Last time I upgraded my 8830 to the latest, it completely screwed it up. I'm on Enterprise. Is there a risk it'll do the same here?

Ah, they you should talk to your BES Admin first. After upgrading the OS you'll have to go thru an Enterprise Activation.

Depends on what you mean by "completely screwed up". If you mean you had to go through Enterprise Activation -- that's normal and I wouldn't call it "completely screwed up". And, yes, it will happen again.

If, on the other hand, you had other problems it's difficult to say. Depends on what the problem was and what caused it.
