I see questions asked over and over again on a weekly basis regarding common BlackBerry notification/status icons, so I thought I would put together a chart listing them all. I am sure I have missed some, so if anyone knows of other icons that should be represented here, please send me a picture or a link to a picture with the icon along with an explanation of what the icon is. I will gladly update the image. Additionally, if anyone finds any errors in my chart, please let me know so I can make the appropriate changes.

You could add the GPS indicator, as well as some of the instant messenger application notification, from AOL, Yahoo, etc. Also, BBM v.5 has some new screen indicators as well, for group chats.

One that can be added is when your phone is forwarded. It shows those << symbols. I've seen that question asked her a couple times. Oh, and also the TTY mode on icon.

What about the UMA icon?

I have a user reporting a Blue 3 next to blue triangle with a yellow sad face in it. Does anyone know what this indicator is? He's using a BB 8700.

This chart helped me diagnose a new user's unknown screen icon that was driving her crazy. Of course I gave credit to the OP.

Blackberry groups message is missing!

That icon changes, so it's hard to put that here.

When you say changes.. You mean..? Because on my Home screen it looks the same all the time..

You can select any number of icons for your groups. It's not always the same for everyone.

There are a number of icons for BBM groups, but here are the default ones:

That would be great. Let me get it cleaned up first so it looks a bit more presentable. I may change the image URL to a more permanent path. Right now it is in a temp directory, and if I clean that directory out without paying attention, the link will obviously be broken.

I doubt it. I haven't had the opportunity to make several needed improvements to the chart. I've been a bit busy lately, including taking time for my wedding and honeymoon.

I will get on this as soon as I can, but I have actual work-related priorities now that I'm back from vacation.
