Default Should I punt my phone into the end zone?

Blackberry 8700r

I updated the OS, then everything went black from there and the phone never turned on again.

I tried suggestions from the forum such as removing the battery, reloading the OS, wiping the phone with JL_CMDR, but nothing seems to get this thing to turn on.

When I plug it into my PC.. desktop manager will detect it when it feels like it, I get the red light, sometimes the green light, but never a constant blinking green. I just want my phone numbers off the address book, I have made multiple back ups but can't read the info in windows. My blackberry is a brick right now. java loader won't wipe it into a error 507 state, I tried the dos command option with loader.exe but this thing is stubborn or broken, is it time to field goal kick this phone?

Your backups will have value with a newer BlackBerry.

Nismo, from what you describe, it is very unlikely your device is 'bricked", but rather just not "fixed" yet.

Keep trying JLCmder, with and without the battery in. I've seen it take 20-30 tries before working.
