Default Blackberry Messenger Spam?

Please Login to Remove!

My boss just got the 8700. I talked him into turning on the BB Messenger so we could chat. He tells me today that he got three SPAM (xxxxxx) messages last night, so he turned it off.

Is this possible? Don't you have to exchange some agreements to put each other in their respective lists before you can get messages? He didn't show me the results, so I don't have first hand information.

2 things...

1) you can't turn blackberry messenger off... if it's installed, it runs in the background...
2) blackberry messenger uses PIN messaging service... unless someone can "spoof" these messages, it will only be delivered to your messages app...

you might want to find out more to solve this problem...

the only way you could spam would be to harvest Pins from the messenger buddy list thread and send a group Pin which would only go to the messages folder.
