trying to download a application, so I have a email sent to me and then I click the link provided to download the application while using my BB (8330) but then when I move my curser over the "Get it Today" icon, my mouse never turns to a hand. I've tried to click the track ball any ways but nothing happens. Is there a setting that I need to configure?

P.S. would have done a search for this topic but had no idea how to classify this.

What happens if you just highlight it and click the trackball?

when I move my cursor (looks like a arrow) over the "Get it Today" icon nothing happens. Meaning the arrow doesn't turn into a hand like it's recongnizing that it's clickable. I've even tried to use the "select mode" without any success.

I'm trying to download the Pandora application, but I've also tried to download another called Big TinCan BuzzMe, but the same result or lack thereof.

If its a button, it wont change.
just like hovering over the search BUTTON on google, it doesnt change, but on a link it does.

I've done that... clicking the icon that is. I'm installing the BlackBerry Desktop Software now and will attempt to download app this method. BTW I was able to download a application on my phone, just unable to do the ones mentioned above.

Which browser are you using?

I'm using the default browser I assume... to get to my gmail account, which is where the link to download the application is sent to, I just click on the global icon that's listed with all of the other app icons on my phone.

See if you can install the gmail app, that might help.

Unable to find the Gmail App but did find the Quick Search with Google app and tried to download that but the same thing happens... which is nothing, still unable to select the Get it Today icon...

FYI: I was able to download a independent application made by a third party, so I have been able to download an application, just not one from the BlackBerry site..

I can't use BB site, so I have to find my apps elsewhere. I just don't remember where I got googleapps from. Mebbe try dl to computer and install via DM?

Update: I've now downloaded another third party application but still unable to DL BlackBerry Apps

Do you have appworld installed?
Or are you trying to download apps from the app world website?
You need to install App world to your phone, and download through there.
The app world website is for use via a PC.

Which isn't true because I'm meet the following requirments
system requirements:

BlackBerry® Device Software version 4.2 or higher 4.5
BlackBerry smartphones with trackballs or SurePressxxx8482; touch screen trackball
To use BlackBerry App World, you require a service plan that includes access to the BlackBerry® Browser this is the only one that I'm not 100% sure of

So leaving this issue behind because I now have a headache banging my head against the wall. How would I go about downloading an app using the Desktop Manager?

So I click Application Loader
Add/Remove Applications
and then I'm guessing I would click Browse to the location of the app and load it into the Application Loader correct?

Well if this is correct my question is how do I save a app to my computer so that I can browser to the location and load it? The only option that I am giving when attempting to download an app is to have it sent to my email and then click the link using my phone.

You're not sure if you have a blackberry data plan?
You can browse the internet, so you should have.
Where are you downloading it from?

You would browse App World's website on a PC. Click the Get it Today icon, enter you email (which should be the one you get pushed to your phone) receieve the email and do what it says in it.
