Default Return From Standby Mode to "Bright" Screen

Please Login to Remove!

Is there any way that I can do so that when my Blackberry 7290 is in standby mode to have the backlight automatically come on when I touch any key?

Too many times I'm driving in a dark car (yes, I'm the passenger ;)) and I get a call and want to view the screen before answering, but I can't see a blessed thing because the screen is so dark. Instead of fumbling for the teeny backlight button I wish I could just touch anykey and have the backlight come on.

Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise

Lonnie

Search on the boards for a program called "BBLight"; it is free and will do exactly what you want.

Good luck!

Arrow BBLight Settings Question

I have some techinical questions on the BBLight. I can't find any answers throughout the search...so here it goes. My ultimate goal is for the light to come on inthe super bright screen, not the first light up screen.

1. And what does that second block of Poll interval mean in ms mean? What is a good number to have it set to?

2. And when you have the time of day button checked and put in a certain time what does that exctlly enable.

I have played with it three ways to Sunday and can't tell any difference if I change the settigs around. So some more expereinced BB users help if you will.

I have upgraded to the latest BBlight, my light used to stay on (I likey) now to many options to make it stay on! What gives? A little help on settings to:

1. Have light on when remove from holster
2 Stay on till BB is replaced to holster

Its all I ask

Thanks in advance

I checked all the options and set the 'On Time of Day' to 7:30am for a Duration of 999 minutes (approx 16.5 hours). So from 7:30am until around midnight the light stays on out of the holster.

Not pretty, but it gets the job done.

Does anyone know what the poll interval means. Is a higher number better or lower number? I can't find anything on this searching or on their website.
