Default Software to Sync Outlook offline with blackberry? - 11-05-2009, 04:53 AM

Hi everyone, have to say great website!

I have a requirement, for a user to be able to go somewhere with his blackberry (BES) & Laptop (On Exchange) and be able to somehow sync outlook with the blackberry so he can 'download' his email from his blackberry and read it, reply to it on outlook and then send it through the blackberry. Also is there additional cost to this?

It doesnt HAVE to be outlook I suppose, just something to connect to the blackberry and view/send email. A bit like you can do with Sony phones when you want to view/send a txt from the SE Suite.

Thanks for looking.

Rob

Very strange request. Why not just use the BB to send and receive. Isn't that why he/she has the device in the first place?

Don't think it is possible to do what he/she wants to do. In case, I have not heard of that.

It's not possible to do what this user is asking.

Also, this begs the question... why would there be email on the BlackBerry that is not already in the Exchange mailbox?

Hi, basically the user can't connect to the VPN to download email at this exact location but the blackberry can recieve email.

While it wouldn't solve the viewing issue, this does sound like a situation where a Freedom Wireless keyboard would at least make replying to emails more feasible.

You could probably set up the user to tether with the BB and VPN in but you email doesn't sync on the BB.
