hey guys, I updated the software on my Curve to the most current release on Tuesday afternoon... Phone hasn't been quite the same since. Here's whats happening...

When trying to find a name from your address book by typing the first few letters on the home screen, it won't find it. It says *No Contacts* but i know its there, when I go into the address book, it's right there.

I have tried everything... including searching here for whatever keywords I can come up with! Can anyone help?? I'm not sure if I explained the problem correctly, help...

By trying everything, have you done a battery pull?

Try opening the Phone by hitting the green phone button. Then use the Menu key to select Options > General Options and make sure "Dial from Home Screen" is set to Yes.

man... don't i feel D U M B !!! I did do (and do know to do) a battery pull! and honestly, thought I did! Anyway, she's back up and running... Thanks midnight!

Well, that was short-lived. It's almost as if these 2 new updates have a mind of their own. I can't make heads or tails of it... phone worked flawlessly all weekend. now, its got the exact same symptoms. It will not call up a name from the home screen. It just says *No Contacts* but then when I do a battery pull, everythings back for all of about 5 minutes and then everything's gonefrom the home screen.
But when u go into my address book, all my contacts are there. What's going on??? Someone please help!

guys... I'm desperate here! Are there none of the usual BB gods out there today? Tell me what other things I can try or should I just downgrade back to the last known stable OS??

Its doing it again... FFFFFF!!! someone help!

I would seriously consider downgrading the OS to the version that was working before.
