Default 552 error... tried fixing... won't even turn on now... HELP!!

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Sprint 9630.

I got a 552 error--I tried resetting using the instructions on BB's website. I pulled the battery, connected to the computer. My PC "beeped" like it was connected. I saw my pin briefly in the BB Desktop Manager. I went ahead to application loader-->update software like it said. My computer started beeping a few times like I was unplugging the BB and plugging it back in, and the pin disappeared on the Desktop Manager.

Now I can't get the Tour to boot at all. Previously it would try and load but give me the 552 error. Now it won't turn on at all with the battery in--the LED light just keeps flashing red (two quick flashes).

If I plug into the computer it still beeps like it knows a USB device has been plugged in, but that's it.

What do I do?

Do you have the OS for your device installed on your PC?

If so, follow these steps:

What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

Be patient as it may take multiple attempts to connect.

If not, download and install the OS to your PC. Remove the vendor.xml file and then follow the steps above.

Wait... Maybe it's working now... I tried again to reset via the Desktop Manager and it seems to be working this time... I tried several times before, but this is the farthest I've gotten (it's loading applications now--before it would fail at the "wait for device initialization" step)

Thanks jsconyers--I'll try that next if the DM fails again. Made it to the final step though... so it's promising...
