I am switching from a treo to a BB, but i need to know that i can get email to work as i have it working now.

I currently use chatter's IMAP solution because it's critical that my inbox stay in sync on both my handheld and on my desktop. I can also get true PUSH like this.

I use a third party IMAP provider (fastmail). All my POP email is forwarded to this IMAP server. I have both outlook and chatter set up for IMAP... this way, when i delete mail in outlook it is deleted on the handheld and vice versa... inboxes are always in sync.

What would be the best way for me to configure email so that i get a) true push b) true mailbox syncing and c) the ability for all emails to and from the blackberry to be sent from .

Also - i use t-mobile if that makes a difference

make sure your company uses a BES. that would be the short response.

it is MY company... we don't run exchange here so i don't think BES would be the solution

Without BES you can only have two out of three: you must choose if you prefer true push or true mailbox syncing.

signed up today with exchangemymail.com. so i guess i want 3 out of 3. they were great btw. great service, helped with problems, etc.

I am glad you decided for hosted BES solution. With BES you can have three out of three. Without BES, in your case, you can not.

I too have my pop accounts forwarded to Fastmail's IMAP server, but I'm on cingular instead of T-mobile (which I think means BES instead of BIS).

I haven't figured out way to get true sync - is there a way to do it using my Cingular account (if I don't need true push)?
