Default Profile Exceptions vs Individual Ringtones

Please Login to Remove!

I have assigned individual ringtones and I have created profile exceptions. I strongly prefer to keep multiple telephone numbers under one single contact as opposed to splitting them up which makes it easier to assign individual tones. My question is Can I assign separate ringtones to different numbers that are under the SAME contact and if so, how do I do that? Thank you whichever technical wizard replies to this!!

Considering that custom ring tones and profile exceptions are assigned to a particular contact I don't see a way to do this out of the box. As for aftermarket solutions, I don't know and someone else may be able to chime in.

Have you looked into creating dummy additional contacts for the custom ring tones/exceptions while leaving a "master" contact with all numbers attached? I don't know what implications this will have.
