3.5 mm Headphone Jack Is Jacked -
11-06-2009, 09:24 PM
I often use my MP3 player on my Bold, using a 3.5 mm cable to connect to the AUX input in my car stereo. However, the 3.5 mm jack on my Bold is worn to the point whereupon connection I must coax the cable to connect properly. The connection is not as simple as plugging it in; I have to pull, push, tug and twist a little to get the connection. Without the proper connection the music plays on the device's speakers instead of through the car stereo input.
The problem is definitely in the 3.5 mm jack on my Bold, because other devices plug in without problem. Is there any way to replace the 3.5 mm jack without replacing the whole phone? I would hate the hassles of switching to an entirely new device just because I can't plug it in to my stereo MP3 player.
Any ideas on how to fix?
