Thanks for evrything.
yes they support blackberry services and to check for BIS we tried with their demo sim which did nt catch HOST ROUTING TABLE so obviously all data services will not work but with another carrier(zain) it worked.
wts the solution? as originally my Tour is from Verizon, can they do anything?
but how come one carrier is supporting and another does nt work?
device is unlocked and it works for BIS even with one carrier(in kenya) only problem is, it does not work with my carrier here in kenya only with this phone TOUR.
we tried with demo sim activated with BB data plan and does not send service book and there is no entry in Host routing table.
All above things are working with another carrier here in kenya.
isn't that strange?

Your BB works with voice and BB on one carrier. But you switched to another carrier and it doesn't work. Is that it?
You can only have a BIS account with one carrier at a time. You would need to cancel your BIS account with the first and reestablish it with the second.
If your current carrier doesn't support the BB, you can't force the BB to use another carrier's data service. Not strange at all.
no sir, i have not yet done any BIS ac yet ,we just tried with my carrier and bis did not work with their demo simcard which is activated for BIS,
at the same time it works with another carrier with their demo simcard.
that shows device is ok but in one or another way locked for one of the carrier to use BIS? m i right? any way to open that? and as phone is from verizon ,can they help?
As I said, if the carrier you use doesn't support BIS, there is no way to use BB data or BIS from another carrier. Have you spoken to the carrier to see if they support the BB? That is the only way you are goign to find out for certain.
Looking at safaricom's website, it doesn't appear that they provide cell phone service, voice or data.
If the device works on the other carrier (not Verizon) it is unlocked.
