Default Outlook sync - 2 blackberry problem

Please Login to Remove!

Thanks for looking. My wife and I both have 8900's and use the same laptop. We use MS Outlook and have separate calendars, task lists and contacts lists. When syncing our BB's only my folders sync, which means she has syncs of my contacts, calendar, etc on her BB, not her own. Anyone know how to designate Outlook folders to sync so we can both sync our own stuff when we connect our own phones? Hope that's clear. Cheers

It sounds like you are both using the same profile. I would suggest setting up different profiles. That would be the easiest way to make it work.

Yes, plug in her BlackBerry going into the Synch options, you must re-setup the sync and head into the advanced portion for each one and map the specific folders that are her's.

I'd recommend entirely separate Windows logons. It's really easy to mess up things if you're not very careful with the Outlook profiles. Keep in mind that even if Outlook is closed that Desktop Manager will have an Outlook profile active if it's already running.

True but from what I read it sounds like they only have one profile with multiple calendars. If that's true then as long as the sync is setup to the correct folders they will not have that problem.

Default Thanks very much

Thank you guys for your really helpful thoughts. I'll try the separate profiles option first, which seems easier for a Blackbearry of little brain, and then if that doesn't work I'll go for the advanced syncing option. Again, many thanks, blessings.

Yeah, if that's the case then separate profiles or separate user accounts won't work.

My original recommendation would be easiest, going into the advanced section of the synch options and choosing the correct calendar in the "Folder Mapping" options.

If the OP wants some screen shots I can provide some later on tonight most likely..
