Is there a way to delete the messages in the messages folder WITHOUT deleting them from my blackberry.net email folder? It doesn't delete the SMS messages...what's up?

Delete email from one folder, it is deleted from all.

BTW, not a real good idea to use the carrier supplied, blackberry.net e,mail address.

If it ever gets out and is "harvested" you will have more SPAM than you care to see since it is totally unfiltered.

When and if you change carriers, that email address cannot be taken with you. When you cancel your BIS account, it is gone forever.

And finally, the only way to read email to that account is on the BB itself. There is no webmail option so when there is a data outage, you cannot send or receive at all.

Thanks for answering so quickly. I don't use it on a regular basis and definitly not as my primary account. I just use it when i need sthing directly on my phone. When i delete the messages in the messages folder it doesnt ever delete from the sms folder just the bb email folder.....wierd. Thanks though.

I'd suggest a battery pull first if you haven't already tried it.

You can mark the individual message as "Saved" with the Menu key, then delete it. It will vanish from both folders, the BB.net and Messages folders both, but be kept in Saved Messages.

You access that hidden folder by opening Messages, then using the Menu key to select "View Saved Messages". It should remain there until you delete it.

(Or until the time limit for saved messages comes up. That time limit is the general "save messages for..." in settings. If you have your BB set to delete messages after 30 days, etc., that's when it will be removed. I have mine set to keep messages forever).
