Please Login to Remove!

Im on vodafone and am due an upgrade. At the moment i have a very cheap phone that pretty much only makes calls.
Am looking at either the 8900 or the storm 2, could some1 plse help me as to which one is the better phone in general.
I dont really have a lot of needs from the phone but since ill be getting the phone for free on my upgrade i just wanna make sure i choose the 'better' phone of the 2.
Really appreciate any help..
p.s. u dont have to leave reasons (altho would be nice) just ur oppinion will do, ill probly go with the majority at the end of it.

ones a keyboard, ones a touchscreen.
decide which you'd prefer.
there isnt a "better" phone. 8900 users will say 8900 and Storm 2 users will say Storm 2.

Both are good.
Both are good for internet browsing.
Neither are worth much after a year.

The storm has a bigger screen, makes a big difference with media and web browsing.

Both have WiFi.

Play with both and you decide, it really is a personal decision.

thanks for info so far,
seems like its personal opinion dependent, however i wont be able to get a look at either of these phones untill one of them is delivered to me so wont have no hands on experience one.
If people could just post there opinion on which of he 2 is the best phone id appreciate it alot and will go with the majority.
thanks in advance

Ive used neither, so I cant comment.
In my opinion, the 8900 is better, because of the physical keyboard.
But i type alot and hardly use browsing or media.

I'm an 8900 user and I'd say get the Storm 2 if you don't mind the lack of a physical keyboard and weight (it's pretty heavy). Here's why:
1) It's a faster device
2) It's 3G
3) I've used Storm 2 and can type very fast on it. It's not like hitting the flat, glass kepboard on the iPhone! Of course, you should try it first.
4) I'm positive it's been positioned by RIM to be the 'cool-kid' in the BB line-up. I think you might see some awesome Storm 2 only apps next year, plus it has the OpenGL support.

I think I am now able to type as fast on my Storm2 as I was the Bold or the 8900.

You really should make every effort to try them out in person. A lot of BB users have very strong preferences when it comes to touch screens, keyboard, size, weight and such factors that can only be assessed in person.
