Per other FAQ, I uploaded from the .pst to Outlook. I have my Outlook 2003 linked to a Hotmail account if that matters. (I've never actually accessed Hotmail via Outlook before now and downloaded the Outlook Connector software to synch the Hotmail and Outlook accounts in case that was the problem.)
I have downloaded the Desktop Manager software. But when I try to synch, I get an error message stating "No applications configured for synchronization." I don't know what application to load via the "Application Loader." I've tried using the "Browse" button to select the "Outlook" folder, but there are no ".alx" or ".ali" files in the Outlook folder.
Please help! I just want to get my contacts into the phone without manually entering them. (Which my husband points out I probably could have done by now given the time I've spent trying to figure out how to do this.) I'm sorry if this is explained elsewhere, but I have searched and everything just seems to say "use Device Manager." But I cannot figure out HOW to actually use the Device Manager.
Thanks. |
It sounds like that outlook is not correctly connected to an email address. I'm not sure that it is even required for what you're attempting. Don't know, never tried it this way. But once you can get into outlook, you need to import that PST, then set up DM, in the Sync Options you will have to run through the wizard to tell it what/when to sync. Then run the sync or reconnect the device while DM is running.
I agree, yes DM 4/5 will function with outlook2003.
