I use BWC and setup my email server so that my mail is automatically forwarded to my Blackberry address @tmo.blackberry.net.

Still, my BB checks for new messages every 15 minutes. This is not necessary, is there a way to turn off this feature?

Go into the BWC and remove the e-mail account that is still being polled.

I did. The only email address BWC shows is the tmo.blackberry.net address; nevertheless it still polls every 15 minutes.

What does that mean "it polls"? The BWC polls? The BB polls (which it never does). What is polling?

Every 15 minutes the BB shows a few uparrows and downarrows.

And this is a problem why?

1. When I am roaming I pay for GPRS access, I roam alot.
2. When not roaming the BB sits next to my computer and my computer sings along with the BB.
