Default Blackberry Holster Does not work

Please Login to Remove!

As the topic says, the holster does not work. I put it in the case, and nothing happens.. The phone does not even light up when it comes out of the case.

So it's just a case now..

Any suggestions?

Is it a case designed for your device?
I.e. you're not putting a tour in a bold case etc.
Was it working previously?
Is it a blackberry OEM case, not a 3rd party case?

Sorry for the lack of details. Yes, it the OEM leather case for the bold 9000. It always used to work. It just.. Stopped working..

Are you putting the device into standby before holstering?
Can you confirm the magnet is still magnetised? (that actually sounds stupid, but you never know)

Run a paperclip across the holster. Does it catch?

It catches on one side. I'm not sure where it's supposed to catch.. Here's a pic..

That looks like a pouch.

So when you insert the Bold, it does not go to sleep, either (the screen does not darken)?

Magnets in the wrong place.

If I move the clip any further down, it drops off.

So do I just buy a new one? Don't really want to go through ordering a new case and waiting two weeks on it... sigh

Well it does work. If I stick the phone in halfway ( the bottom part not passing the magnet ), it sleeps and wakes up normally.

So I guess moving the magnet back will be the right thing to do.

The only question is; how? sigh.
