Default Deleted Emails Not Removing From BB

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all, I have seen quite a number of posts out here on this topic, but have yet to find a real answer. We are in a Domino environment. I have a user who deleted emails from the Blackberry, and they will not remove from the handheld.

Here are a couple of thoughts to avoid the standard answers.

1. Hide Filed Messages is not the answer because they were not filed, just deleted.

2. As we are in a Domino environment, not Exchange, we do not have pst files. *** However, I looked in the user's mail archive and found the user had archived these problem messages to the archive database. *** This leads me to believe that a Domino mail file archive works in similiar fashion to Exchange/Outlook's pst file.

If the archive/pst file is the similiar approach, and I have seen a lot of discussion regarding the pst, how do they now get deleted from the handheld, I'm not satisifed with they are just stuck on the handheld inbox.

Any ideas or thoughts?

David

Default Followup

I spoke with RIM and we resolved this issue. I had to connect to Desktop Manager, clicked Backup and Restore, then clicked the Advanced button, and when the dual screen appears, choose "messages" in the right window, and click Clear.

This clears the messages in your inbox from the BB Device. Any you want to reappear, you will have to resend.
