Unhappy Blackberry manager start up

Please Login to Remove!

I have Windows 7 and I downloaded Blackberry 5.0 and updated to 5.01. When I start up the computer and the desktop loads the blackberry manager window opens and I have to wait until it loads to close it. This never happened in Windows XP. Does anybody know what can be done to stop it form loading up by itself?

In DM. you need to make sure you uncheck the box to load at start up. Can't remember for sure where it is though.

run - msconfig
startup tab
uncheck the box for RIM/Blackberry entries.

Not sure about Windows 7 but DM in prior versions of Windows is usually added to the Startup group. Just remove it if that's the case.

DM is only added to the Startup Group if during the installation you set the option to include BB Automatic Update to YES. If you set it to NO then it's not added.

Once this pest is in the startup group it's hard to get rid off it, it just reappears. When I realized this I just uninstalled DM and then reinstalled it w/o BB-AU.

BB-AU can also cause problems during upgrading OS from another vendor, discussed here:
