Default Blackberrys and Data Encryption

Please Login to Remove!

good morning all, it seems that for the past 4 years (or so), many of our users here at WORK have bought the blackberrys to receive their emails on the phone, which is GREAT. A new policy was implemented that will no longer allow a user to receive emails on their blackberrys unless there is some type of data encryption. how do i do this?

thanks in advance

we got the storms, curve, pearls, world edition and some others.

Are you using a BES?
If so, the data is already encrypted.

Even with BIS, any data that travels on the RIM infrastructure is encrypted.
What is it that your security people are trying to accomplish exactly?

Penguin's question is most relevant, and should be the 1st thing addressed. Having said that, there is a PGP application written quite some time ago that does work on the BB as well. Let me see if I can find a thread.

Here it is:

Atomichelix PGP for BlackBerry v1.2.5
