Wirelessly posted (8820)

Add your ISP, yahoo, google, whatever, email addresses to your BIS. Easiest way to do it will be to use the email setup wizard on the blackberry handset.

Just a bit of advice on using the carrier email address that you have set up.

First of all, if that address gets out and is "harvested" you wil receive more SPAM that you wish to get. That address is totally unfiltered.

Second, you cannot take that address with you, when and if you change carriers.

And finally, and perhaps most importantly, the only way to read email sent to that address is on that device. In the event of a data outage for either your carrier or RIM, as happened earlier this week, you cannot send or receive email. There is no webmail option.

Thanks. I knew and already took that into account. that's one of the reason I want to reply as I was using other email and other people replies to my other email.

That won't address the spam issue but if you log into your carrier's BIS site and edit the *.blackberry.net address you'll see the Reply To field. IIRC you can't make it appear as if it's a different email address any more.

You might, however, be able to change the Send Using field when replying if you integrate the email account with BIS.
