Default Ringtones disappeared....

Please Login to Remove!

I've been playing with my new BB 8900 (my first) today, and earlier today I had "Ode to Joy" set as the phone ringtone. A little bit ago, I wanted to set that up as a custom ringtone for someone, so I changed the ringtone for 'phone' in the profile I'm using, then went to address book and selected the name, selected 'set custom ringtone', and went looking for "Ode to Joy".

I can't find it now. Any ideas? Did I lose it?

Thanks.

Are you searching your SD card, or phone memory?

Thanks for the reply. I solved, or rather, found my answer. I didn't lose any ringtones. My trackball was sort of frozen, wouldn't go any further, so I thought I was missing some. For some reason, and I'll do more research here before asking about it, my trackball, when going down the list of ringtones, stops sometimes, won't go any further, but then, if I wait a few seconds, will then 'jump' further down the list. I've just started using it more slowly when going down the list of ringtones. (The trackball itself continues to move, but not the cursor.)

I wasn't giving it time before I guess, to catch up.

I'm not using a media card yet, need to buy one. Will also search here about that; don't know anything about them.

Wanted to put this question to bed, and, if the same thing happens to someone else, and they're searching for an answer, maybe this will help them.

Great forum.
