My phone fell off my bed while i was downloading a app from the blackberry app world. The battery popped out. I put it back in and now i have a white screen with something that looks like a tape inside a circle with an x across it and the number 543 below it whates wrong? Is it fixable and is all of my information lost?

Its a Blackberry 8830 World Edition and my carrier is sprint.

I have heard of this when people installed apps that were incompatible or corrupt. Bad themes can do this too. Usually it means you have to reload your OS, wiping the handheld completely. Hopefully you have a recent backup of all your data.

You may want to avoid the bed for further technical work.
