I currently have a Blackberry Pearl 8100 which I bought in the summer under Fido for a 3 year contract. I want to get rid of it and buy a Blackberry Bold.

Here are my questions:

1.) Is this possible? Because I know Fido does not carry the Bold but will the phone still work when I put my SIM card in the Bold.

2.) Will I now be on a 3G network? If so, do I have to get a new SIM card or does 3G network just have to do with the phone?

3.) Does a 3G network give faster internet or a better phone signal?

3. It's faster, but I don't believe it effects the phone signal. Fido piggybacks off Rogers network, and they have the best with the least dropped calls.
