Default How to get Telus Blackberry Storm Port to Rogers

Please Login to Remove!

I recently purchased a Telus Blackberry Storm 9530 from my friend. I unlocked the Blackberry successfully and am able to use the phone service. However, I was not able to configure email.
When I submit my PIN and IMEI to Rogers, Igot the following message:

Cannot Create Account

This BlackBerry(R) device is not registered with your wireless service provider.
Please register this device and verify that the URL of the current web site matches
the one provided by your wireless service provider.

To register:

1. In the Application list on your device, click Options, or click Settings Options.

2. Click Advanced Options > Host Routing Table.

3. Click the Menu key and click Register Now.

If the error persists, contact your wireless service provider

Any advice?

You need a blackberry data plan on the account.
Do you have this?

Default How did you get Telus Blackberry to work with Rogers?

Yes, I had a dataplan with my old blackberry. I logged onto the Rogers BIS website, go to "Change Device", and entered the PIN and IMEI of my new device. However, I got an error message "The information you provided is not valid for this service provider"

It's always the chance you take when you unlock a device for a network that doesn't even sell that particular device.

Perhaps try a different number for the IMEI. There's an MEID, MEID DEC, etc. For Sprint they use the MEID DEC. I got this same error message when using the wrong number for my Tour. Also check that the number on the box matches the number in Settings > Status. Sometimes the box is a misprint. I've had this happen as well.
