Default BlackBerry 6750 and Bes Server

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All, My company recently purchased and installed a new Bes server version 4.0 along with an 2003 Exchange server. We currently have about 18 Blackberry's and 4 6750 models. The remaining Blackberry's are 7250's. The 7250 models work fine however I was told that the 6750 models need to be upgraded before they go on the server. I guess my question is can the 6750 model be used with the Bes server to sync the calender, contacts and email using wireless and not use the software on the desktop?

Yes it should be able sync wirelessly. I think you can use handheld version 4.0.

You will need to upgrade the handheld software to v4.0 for wireless syncing of contacts, tasks and notes. It can be found here - http://vzw.smithmicro.com/blackberry/ - be aware that the 6750 has very limited RAM and will be quite slow with 4.0 on it.
