Question Help - how to prevent accidental dialing?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Blackberry Tour 9630 with Verizon that I am taking abroad for Unlimited World Data service ($70 a month) but phone also has a voice package where a call from some places could cost $1+ a minute

as all it could take is 3 presses of the green phone by accident in my pocket and then phone will be making a call to my last contact...

is there any way to prevent this?

maybe a hack around and prevent outside dialing all together?

or reassignment of the green button to lunch any other application?

any application(s) that can help?

any hack that can help?

thank you so much...

I mapped my left side key to keyboard lock. On press of the side key and all key functions lock. Have to use A the green call key at same time to unlock.

If you have Dialing from Home Screen turned off, you can use the K key to lock the keyboard as well. You'll need to enter your password to unlock.

Or press the mute key on the top of the phone to put it in standby.

Several built-in options mentioned above. I'd recommend putting a password on the device.

The upper left hand button is the lock key on the tour.

There are several third party apps that will automatically lock the keyboard/screen when the backlight goes off...
