Default Another Memory Issue

Please Login to Remove!

I know that there are a million+1 threads about loss of memory and where could it go and yada yada yada.

My problem is not that it disappears, I kinda have the hang of what does make your memory go away, it is more of why do I not have memory???

Some times my phone will say it has zero bytes left, but it will still run at a somewhat normal speed, until I get into bigger items like a picture or video.

After a quickpull or a battery pull, I have about 3mb's of free space. If I am not mistaken, the pearl is suppose to be a 64mb phone right? Cuz I have never seen more than 4mb's!!!!

I dont have any themes loaded on my phone, I kind of wanted to wait to figure out my memory problem

Google Mobile App
Google Maps
The Weather Channel
BB App World
My Verizon
Spin lite Jacks or better
Spin lite Blackjack
Golden Thumb Blackjack
Sudoku lite

I have few pictures and some videos, but they are all on my memory card.

Its a love/hate thing with phones, you wouldn't understand!

If you have read and followed the advice there, then you know the score.

You might take a look at your message options and see how long the BB is set to keep messages. If you receive a ton of email and you have it set to keep forever, reset it to something like 30 days.

Other than that, you need to delete some apps. Get yourself up to about 10-12MB free after a hard reset.

With only 64MB and the newest operating systems, you don't have a lot of room left. Be judicious about what you install.

Do you have a memory card? That's where you would store music and pictures. Storing them internally will eat through your memory in a heartbeat.

The memory optimization thread still applies.

Check your database sizes to see if they're an issue:
Options->Status, access the menu and choose Database Sizes.

Your battery pull comment reinforces the fact that some apps use memory while active. You might want to more carefully monitor your memory usage to see if it coincides with a particular app or apps.

Also, I'd verify that you don't have any media in device memory. Make sure your camera is set to store photos to the media card.

Would that be listed as Content Store? I have 38/7579.0K listed for mine. I wonder if things would move a bit faster if I bring this down somehow.
