| E-mail push - on/off Please Login to Remove! I just got a company 7290 (T-Mo) on BES. However, where I live/home office is located I do not get T-Mo service. So, I need a good way to stop e-mails being pushed to the berry while I'm at home so that when I do leave the office for a trip I don't have hundreds of them being sent to it when I turn it on in a T-Mo service area.
I've looked around on the 7290 and found in mail/options/ email settings and option called:
Send Email to Handheld (currently set to yes). If I set this to no (while I'm in a T-Mo area but about to go to my home office) then I assume that e-mail will not be pushed to the device.
My question(s) is:
If I do this for when I'm in my home office then when I go back into a service area and switch it back to yes then will I only get new mail I have not read or will BES push all the mail since the last time in did a mail sync?
Alternatively, if I just leave the send email to handheld set to yes but make sure all the e-mails in outlook have been set to read (i.e., I make sure all unread messages are read before I leave the office and go back into a T-Mo service area will it still push all of the e-mails from the last time it did a sync (regardless of whether I've read them or not) or will it only send new e-mail that outlook receives but have not yet been read?
Is there a better way to manage this?
Sucks having a BES 7290 that does not work at the house/home office but I do have a personal 7130e on my personal vzw account for playing around with (Company will not activate BES on my own berry - which I use for personal business) as they are moving everyone to company berry's to reduce cell phone costs. |
