Hello ,
I just want to know how the Blackberry device locks while entering it into holster
it is a photo cell ? or other technology ?

There is a magnet in the holster and a magnetic sensor in the BlackBerry. The BB is programmed to go into sleep mode when this sensor is triggered.

Its much like modern laptops. There is a magnet and a magnetic sensor.
