Please Login to Remove!

I used to have alltel (they are now Verizon) and my contract has ended. I would like to get the blackberry curve 8530/8520 but dont know which is the best carrier to go with verizon or sprint. Please let me know the pros and cons of both and your recommendation.
I live in Florida in the Sarasota/Bradenton area.

Sounds like a really old bb model, like the old 850 pagers haha.

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

I'm assuming they mean the 95xx storm...

Anyways, both carriers have their ups and downs... I have had nothing but problems with sprint when I had them, but that could have been just my experience..

The main thing to check is coverage where you work, sleep, and play

I assume he meant 8530. not 5830.

and the 8520 won't work as its GSM.

Check both service area maps of Verizon and Sprint to see which carrier has better coverage in the places that you will use your device. If they're equal, then evaluate the costs of your anticipated usage/plan.

In my opinion, and not to piss anyone off but see who gives you the best service and go from there. As long as you have a BB, we will let you stay.

The best carrier is the one that provides the coverage where you need it - where you live, work, travel and play. No one else can make a blanket statement to say which is the best for you. You need to do your homework and make the choice.
