Question Is desktop manager working?

Please Login to Remove!

I just got an8900 Smartphone and installed desktop manager 5.0.1 on a Windows XP system. Installation went OK and program opens. Recognizes my smartphone. But when I tried to synchronize it just sat there with no cpu activity. The Desktop manager fades out and does not respond and no messages. If I disconnect it comes back and is OK. I then connected and tried to do a backup/upgrade and it di "connect to device" , but on "Back up device" is just shows the progress bar, but after 3 hours nothing seems to be happening. Is there a known problem?
I had previously uninstalled and reinstalled the software with a reboot in between everything. It seems to just sit there and do nothing.
Thanks for any feedback or advice.

Leon

Did a hard reset of the phone. It seems to have solved the issue.

Also restarting the pc often helps. The connection between BB and pc can be a rough spot in the whole process of syncing or updating the OS (also done with Desktop Manager).
