Question Do I need to certify my software running in Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

My company is going to make some blackberry software application to be running on Blackberry Smartphone devices.

My question:
Do I need to get those software certified by RIM? Something like Windows Printer Driver gets certified by Microsoft.

Any information or URL will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

For your own company use? no but if you plan to sell applications it may be a good idea to be involved with the development group at RIM if for only to get support.

thanks for the reply.

please let me know:
1) how to involve RIM support team for my software development?

2) would this mean that there is no signing/certification process from RIM team to my software?

we will be giving our software to our customer. most likely is free to them.

please enlighten me. thanks
