Default wont let me use the internet unless using wi-fi?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello im new the the site:
I have just got a Blackberry Curve 8520 and it was all working fine. I am on Orange network and have just purchased a new bundle for the internet. the problem is, when i try to connect to the internet outside a wi-fi zone it jus says "This is a Wi-Fi service please ensure your device has an active wi-fi connection and try again".
I have looked all over the internet and done everything such as:
Master restor,

Tried to change the default browser but it just give me the option for "Hotspot Browser".

What do i do? Please help, Thanks

The internet bundle you purchased, is it specific for the blackberry, or just generic mobile data service?

You need to confirm, for your benefit.

If you do not have a blackberry data plan, you will not be able to use the blackberry/RIM applications that are data dependent. For example, the blackberry browser.

If you are stuck with a generic data plan, check out a third party browser such an opera mini or bolt. See http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.p...eric_Data_Plan.

The blackberry data service is provided by the mobile service provider. Contact your service provider if you don't have it and you want it. In the meantime, look at your last bill, or check your account online.

If you do have a blackberry data plan and still don't have the browser and so forth, you need to resend service books. In that case, see http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.p...rvice_books%3F. But only if you have a blackberry data plan on your account for your blackberry handset.

Default Possible solution

Had the same problem on my Bold when I first got it. All you should have to do is turn off your wi-fi when you leave your wireless area, and it should work fine for you.
