Default Is there a way to have SMS-based BBM?

Please Login to Remove!

I just signed up for T-Mobile and I have unlimited texts but I don't want to pay for a data plan.

I was considering buying a BlackBerry but I want to know if it is possible to have BlackBerry Messenger use my texting service instead of data. Thank you!

Nope; to use BBM you need the BlackBerry Data Plan.

I am new to using a Blackberry, but I am able to send messages over wifi with Blackberry messenger.

Not sure if you need the data plan for any of that.

You need a BlackBerry Data Plan in order to get any BlackBerry Data features (over WiFi or otherwise).

Are you looking specifically for BBM or just for an IM solution?
