Hello. I just got my blackberry 2 weeks ago. I am wondering about the specifics of BBM. There are little emoticons that show up, what do they mean? I am not referring to the traditional emoticons, but the little ones that appear when you are in a conversation with someone. Some are self explanatory...the clock means they are away from there screen...but does this mean that they are using another function or just not checking messages? Also, there is one that looks like it is sound waves coming out of its mouth...what does this mean?

Also, is it possible that someone blocks a specific user in BBM, or do you have to post yourself as unavailable to everyone?

When does the note mark as read, to the other person you are communicating with...is it when the yellow goes out of the emoticon?

So many questions...but I am trying to figure this thing out and have not been able to find these answers or even a BBM emoticon grid anywhere!

The red clock means that the message is waiting to send.. The waves means they are being sent that that time...


You can delete people from your list so they cannot contact you. Both parties have to approve before a friend is added on BBM


As for the read/sent thing... There is a checkmark when it is offically send.. There will be a D on top the check. That D means Delivered. There is also an R which means read.

When BBM freezes, is there anything we can do to prevent that from happening, once we recognize it is happening? I could not send or receive messages for several hours yesterday...how frustrating!!
