Hi,

A colleague has a 7700 series BB (I believe) with Verizon.

This morning he is frustrated over two columns of buttons not working.

The 2nd to the last on either side of the keyboard: w, s, z column and the O, L, Sym column.

I'm thinking he probably pushed a key combo that caused those columns to be disabled.

Any ideas why something like that would happen and the fix for it?

I don't know what was done exactly. He sent it to our HelpDesk and they fixed it.

I wonder if they popped out the battery.... I had a BB this morning with an "escape" key that wouldn't work. So I popped the battery. And it worked.

I have a 7750 through Bell and a few days ago my space button and the power button went. If I squeeze the BB around the bell logo the buttons sometimes work.

I'm bringing it back to bell tonight. They said it could take up to 2 weeks to get it fixed :(

Ever want to rip your hair out?

So 2 months ago I spend 500$ on a new blackberry. A few days ago the power button and space buttons stop working. Other than that there's not a single scratch on the device.

What does Bell do for me? They gladly take mine and send it for repairs and then they stick me with a refurbished blackberry.

Anyone ever dealt with bell in this type of situation? Think if I complain loud enough they'll replace mine with a new unit or am I wasting my time?
