Hello,

Let start by saying that I am currently using the T-Mobile Unlocked 9700.

I just went back home for vacation and my email was working just perfect in the states. I have a Hosted Exchange account so basically I am using the Enterprise activation.

When I started using the overseas service (with blackberry service) email stopped working for some odd reason. BBM still works, internet works but I just cant receive or send emails.

Any idea why this would be a problem? Do I need to send a device activation password and go thru another enterprise activation or should the first activation i did back on Dec 13th still work just fine with another carrier's sim card?

Any help would be much appreciated..

You will need to re setup the email on the other carrier. BBM is specific to the device. Email is specific to service books

so i tried to reactive the email again but when i run the enterprise activation it says after a while "The blackberry Enterprise server has not responded to your activation request. An error may have occured." and when i click on more details it says" This may be due to one of the following:

-The email address has been entered incorrectly (not true)
-The activation email has been modified or moved from your email inox by Spam/Attachment scanning software or a mail client rule. (not true)
- You have not yet been added to the Blackberry Enterprise Server (it was working when i was in the states, so i dont think that this is the issue)

I tried resending the address books but still the same issue.

Any idea why this is happening? Any help would really be appreciated.

Does your new dataplan include BES?

I am not sure... is the only way to find out is by calling the service provider here?

Did you read this post? Seems like this is the issue. Your BES may not know where to send the data.

There is a possible BB sporadic outage being reported too. That might be part of the problem.

I ended up calling my service provider and after explaining to them why I need BES and not BIS the finally added to my service and phone is running the enterprise activation at the moment... so everything looks like it will be working as expected...
